ASH: [NY State Women, Inc Schiolarship]

The Bay Ridge Brooklyn Chapter of New York State Women, Inc. is seeking

applicants to be considered for its Scholarship Grant that will be awarded at the

April 2015 meeting of the Chapter. The Scholarship Grant of two thousand

dollars ($2,000) is provided to help support school-related expenses. Preference

will be given to working women or those who have returned to school.

REQUIREMENTS:

To apply you must be a resident of Brooklyn and enrolled (full or part-time) at a

college or university in the New York City metropolitan area in a course of study

leading to a degree. You must also submit:

1. An official copy of your most recent transcript.

2. Two (2) letters of support and recommendation, one of which must be

from a faculty member familiar with your work. If you are working, the

other should be from your employer.

3. A typed, one page, double-spaced statement (250-300 words) discussing

your goals and how this financial grant would help you to achieve them.

You must complete the application form and mail it with all necessary

attachments to:

These forms must postmarked no later than February 28, 2015. Be sure to

type or print all information (except signatures). The successful candidate will be

advised prior to April 1, 2015. Please note: Do not send original documents or

anything that you will need returned. Copies are acceptable.
