Collaboration over Competition

Here at Art LovHer, our motto is “Collaboration over competition”. We’re here trying to do our part to build a community around the phenomenal woman artists that exist. We see it as the only way to change the tides of our current place in society. Changing the narrative of how women are portrayed is a group effort. No one person can do it alone. We can have leaders and sheroes but without the people, these moments would not be possible.

In honor of that our first mixtape will include the people. This Friday, May 16th, we’ll be at the legendary Funkadelic Studios in Midtown recording a spectacular night. Featuring our good friends and the phenomenal artists of New Fame LLC., we invite everyone to come down and jam with us. Adrienne Mack Davis and Ohene Cornelius will be sharing some of their new, never before heard tracks off their upcoming music projects. I’ll be hosting alongside co-creator and Founder of StreetPoetsNYC, Hrsh Reyalitee. There is a full backline, for dummers, key players to ome down and sit in. If you’re a guitar or bass player, come down and plug in. Create some new sounds and have a great time. The mic/stage will be open for anyone who’s creative and has something to share. Everyone that gets on will receive a copy of their recording for their personal use, as well as a complimentry copy Vol. 1, when it is released later this year.
